Secret Agent Studios – 5/26-5/29 (4 days)
Every kid loves a spy story, and in this camp we channel that fascination into a creative adventure that explores the art of keen observation, masterful disguises, and secret codes & symbols. From art heists to clandestine street graffiti, we’ll try our hand at art torn from the pages of a spy thriller.
Creature Creations – 6/1-6/5 (5 days)
Through time and across the world, it’s human nature to invent creatures. Whether they are purely original or combinations of existing animals, it’s fun to dream up fantastic beasts that entertain, amuse, and explain. In this camp, we’ll study folklore and hone our imaginations to invent creatures while exploring different artistic mediums.
Color Wheel & Beyond! – 6/8-6/12 (5 days)
This is a camp for the explorers! Beyond the solid ground of this planet are expansive worlds where scientific truth can be as strange as fiction. We’ll harness that adventurous spirit in a camp that takes its inspiration from the depths of the ocean and the far reaches of the universe.
Clay Play 1 – 6/15 – 6/19 (5 days)
There’s lots of reasons this is everyone’s favorite camp! We’ll sculpt, build, slip, score, and glaze to make beautiful dimensional ceramic art during a week of playing in the mud. Pottery offers sensory stimulation and reveals marvelous transformation in the kiln. This camp is offered in June and July, each session explores different processes and forms. Due to the time-consuming nature of finishing ceramics, we’ll process all pieces for pick-up approximately 3 weeks after camp
Crafty Critters – 6/22 – 6/26 (5 days)
Pets serve as muse in this camp that celebrates the favorite pets in our lives and on our canvas. From pet toys to portraits, we’re making art for and about our favorite furry, feathery, and scaly friends.
Another Dimension – 6/29 – 7/3 (5 days)
This week we’re making art that leaps from the page and pushes the boundaries of dimension. We’ll learn about 2D, 3D, relief, and other ways to add depth to art across different disciplines. From sculpting and building to creating optical illusions that trick the eye, we’re creating art that pops.
It’s a Small World – 7/6 – 7/10 (5 days)
In this creative camp we’ll dream about whole worlds inside a teacup and scenes on the other side of a keyhole. We’ll take the simple and make it fantastical by shrinking it and shifting our perspective!
Handcrafted Feast – 7/13 – 7/17 (5 days)
Food in art can be as commonplace as a classic still life painting, and it can be as revolutionary as a banana duct taped to a wall. From the Renaissance to Pop Art, there’s endless inspiration of the intersection of what we eat and how we create. In this camp, we will paint, sculpt, and use food as a tool while breaking all the rules about playing with your food.
Clay Play 2 – 7/20 – 7/24 (5 days)
There’s lots of reasons this is everyone’s favorite camp! We’ll sculpt, build, slip, score, and glaze to make beautiful dimensional ceramic art during a week of playing in the mud. Sparkle & Shine – 7/27-7/30 (4 days)
Artists are known for chasing light, and this is a week for those intrigued by the function and form of art’s favorite subject. We’re making our own lights and exploring concepts of light and texture in this camp that promises all the sparkle and shine without a speck of glitter!
