After school artists in drawing and painting have been getting lessons in portraiture; exploring many techniques through layering.

These self portraits use gouache, watercolor, rice paper, and paint pens just to name a few materials! In their most recent layer, they’ve begun using charcoal to add contrast to these complex portraits!
